A glimpse of something from my environment - landscapes, buildings, people, plants, objects etc. I've photographed them for their colour, shape or natural beauty; or because they convey a sense of place or a moment in time. 2008 begins in southern Greece around Megali Mandinia in the Outer Mani where our house, the Olive Press, is located. Livigno opens early for ski-ing in December. Twenty-three skiers went with London Region Nordic Ski Club for a week's training, fun and, as a finale, the challenge of La Sgambeda marathon race. These images give you a flavour of the week. Clicking on any image gives you a larger view.

Highlights from the closing afternoon of the 2007 SSE Skills Development Week. Held annually the event is a great opportunity to improve your nordic ski-ing skills and have some fun, particularly on the final afternoon when you can race, dress up and/or spectate.
