Nordic walking classes autumn 2010
If you’re already a nordic walker these sessions are for you:
- new nordic walking and conditioning classes
- nordic walking for fitness classes/occasional walks
If you haven’t attended an introductory workshop or course please go to our nordic walking for beginners classes.
NEW - nordic walking and conditioning classes
Combining nordic walking and nordic circuits, these evening sessions are designed for people who want a more intensive workout with poles.
The format will be a brisk nordic walk interspersed with different circuit exercises with poles that challenge you to work a little harder.
The aim is to have fun exercising outdoors and help you improve your strength and cardiovascular fitness so you feel fitter and more energised.
Who are these sessions are for
You need to be reasonably fit [but not superfit!] so you’re happy excercising purposefully for 1.5 hours. Maybe you’re a regular walker or occasional runner, or you want to top up your all-over fitness for another activity – the main thing is being willing to push yourself a little more so you get more than a walk in the park.
In nordic walking terms these classes will approach sport level – within circuits we can vary acitivity to suit different needs within the group, for instance you could skip twice as far as another participant who prefers lower impact fast walking.
You must have attended a nordic walking introductory workshop or course run either by Moving Feet or another industry recognised instructor. You should be comfortable walking with poles in low light and semi darkness.

Nordic walking for fitness classes/occasional walks
If you want to practice and develop your nordic walking, or refresh your skills, or you'd just like to walk with others, join us on a fitness walk. You'll get a brisk walk with tips and hints along the way to help you get the most from your nordic walking.
We'll vary speeds and technique as well as walking up and down hills during the sessions.
You can book a regular session or choose an occasional walk in different locations. You can also save money by booking a package of sessions.
Mary Wray - INWA nordic walking instructorSessions last 1.5 hours and are led by INWA instructor, Mary Wray.
