Nordic walking for fitness 2012
If you’re already a nordic walker these sessions are for you.
If you want to practice and develop your nordic walking, or refresh your skills, or you'd just like to walk with others, join us on a fitness walk.
You'll get a graded walk with tips and hints along the way to help you get the most from your nordic walking. We'll vary speeds and technique as well as walking up and down slopes during the sessions. In the sport level sessions we'll add in nordic circuits that combine walking, running and jumping.
You can book a regular session or choose an occasional walk in different locations*. You can also save money by booking a package of sessions which can be taken in different locations* - you will just need to confirm your attendance in advance.
Mary Wray - INWA nordic walking instructorSessions last 1.5 hours and are led by INWA instructor, Mary Wray.
Who these sessions are for
People who have already attended an introductory workshop and want to nordic walk to maintain or help improve their fitness.
There are nordic walking sessions two levels:
- fitness/moderate - brisk, for those who want to improve their average fitness;
- sport/fast - for the more sporty who want a faster pace and more intense session that builds strength, coordination and agility and includes nordic circuits.
Choose the level to suit you.
None of these sessions are for complete beginners [unless you're a cross country skier] who should attend an introductory nordic walking workshop first.
