Learn to nordic walk 1+2
Introductory workshop + 2 follow-up sessions
You'll learn the basic techniques of nordic walking and its benefits, then put your new skills into practice in a walk around the Park. In the two follow-up sessions you'll develop your technique and gain confidence in walking with poles so that you can add nordic walking into your summer fitness activities. The sessions will:
- give you a low impact total body workout
- help tone and strengthen the upper body
- exercise legs and improve co-ordination
- reduce tension and de-stress
- be fun and sociable
How this course will work
Session 1: introductory workshop 1.5 hours - you learn about the benefits of nordic walking and the basic techniques then try them out a walk in the Park.
Follow-up sessions 2 & 3: 1.5 hour classes - you build your technique, put skills into practice whilst enjoying a brisk nordic walk through the Park.
Mary Wray, a qualified INWA instructor will lead the course.

Anyone of average fitness who wants to learn the basics of nordic walking.

Cost
This learn to nordic walk package of 3 x 1.5 hour sessions, including the loan of high quality nordic walking poles, costs £35.00 payable in advance.
NB We'll walk mainly on grass so wear trainers that you don't mind getting muddy if it's wet.
