Discover nordic walkers the world over

If you've ever wondered who nordic walks and where, there are some great web resources that provide answers.  For starters have a look at the Nordic Walking ecommunity group and the Nordic Walking News blog both founded by British author and nordic walking expert, David Downer.

The ecommunity attracts contributions from nordic walkers from all over the world including the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia.  For example you can read Crystal Peterson's account of nordic walking the Portland Marathon last Sunday [well done Crystal!], or find links to useful resources such as journalist Claire Walter's Nordic Walking USA blog [thanks for cool mention in September Claire].

You'll also find pointers to videos for a flavour of different countries' approach to nordic walking, for example Hungary where instructor Ildikó Szigeti of Botsport leads fun days for families, or Australia where Poleabout's opening video features one of the Finnish originators of nordic walking, Marko Kantaneva.

These are just a few examples, there are lots more nordic walkers and resources out there - if you find some other interesting ones, do let  me know.
